Choosing The Best Office For Your Business
Here is our guide to choosing the best office space for your business startup.

Location is key

Just like when you are moving house, the location of your new office is crucial. In terms of office location, there are two things you need to be asking yourself. The first is, is the office easy for potential clients to get to. And the second is, is the office location easy for employees to get to. Things to take into consideration are whether there is a bus route nearby and how far your office is from the town centre. As well as, whether there is adequate office parking for employees who drive.

It is also important to take in the area that the office is located in, is it a safe and secure neighbourhood? Are there restaurants and bars employees can relax in after work? Are there coffee shops for meeting with potential clients? These are all important things to think about.

Is it big enough?

In terms of size, obviously both location and price will play a part in the size of office you can get. However, it is still important to think carefully about the size of the office you hire. Otherwise, you could end up with something that is too small for your staff to work effectively in or two big to maintain.

If you are worried about having the time to design and maintain your new office space, consider serviced offices. Serviced offices are designed to a high standard and are maintained and cleaned by the owner’s cleaning team. Making them perfect for busy business startups.

Before choosing an office space, you need to ask yourself whether there is enough room for your office and  staff work areas.  As well as, enough space for meeting rooms, toilets and other facilities.

Before deciding on a particular office space, think carefully about whether it is right for you and your business. And, whether it the right price, size and has the right amenities close by.

Can you afford it?

For many business startups, the cost of an office is probably the most important factor. If you choose a cheap office, you may be unhappy with its location, size and amenities. But if you rent a larger office you may not be able to afford the rent. It’s a tricky one.

Before signing any contract, think about how much you can afford to spend on your office. Ask your estate agent to only show your offices that are within your budget.
